Lecture: The Logic and Origins of the American President

  • William King Museum of Art 415 Academy Drive Northwest Abingdon, VA, 24210 United States (map)

The first educational event associated with the Cherry Bounce Show, this lecture by the show's guest curator, Eric Drummond Smith, PhD (assistant professor of political science at the University of Virginia's College at Wise), is an insight into the American presidency - why do we have a president, why do we elect the president the way that we do, and what powers is the president really supposed to exercise? All this, a good amount of laughing, and a chance to surround yourself with art while immersing yourself in politics the way they're meant to be discussed - in a good humor. Free to all comers, 6:00PM start time.
