Once upon a time Americans reveled in their democratic-republic. We gathered together to celebrate voting, campaigning, the right to govern ourselves, and to assuage our feelings when our preferred candidate or party lost this year's bid. We listened to music. We stomped and danced. We laughed and drank and ate and told stories and generally were gleeful. We here at the Cherry Bounce Show think it is time to start doing that again, not just loving our Republic, but celebrating it. So we're having art. We're having lectures and panels. But we're also having a party - not just a party though. We want this to be a place to watch the returns, to gather the old and new media with the normal folk. We want to engage with the election in a way that goes far and beyond mere surface treatment. More information on everything as we approach the day - if you're a journalist, academic, or creative type and you're interested in participating, contact either Callie Hietala or Eric Drummond Smith, on or off Facebook.
